Our first steps were the workshops...

Through the stories - The adventures of Mam'zelle Coccinote - we introduced several basic musical notions and developed many other important aspects of a children's development. The use of many different types of didactic games contributed to the development of : breath control, body mobility through dance and fine motor skills. We would also introduce ear training with sound recognition from various instruments, exposure to different languages, and the memorizing and identifying of various forms. We wanted children to be open to the world around them and it's diversity. The content of these music initiation workshop covered many aspects of a child development. They were very popular in CPEs, daycares and kindergartens. It was also suitable for some early primary school and can also work very well in multi-age homeschooled groups. These workshops, which are the result of learning through play, can easily be adapted to environments other than schools. We even would write unique adventures to meet specific themes, such as a birthday party.
